— Staple Landscapes
Eight checks. Two minutes. Know before you go.
This is the same ground we cover in the first step of every engagement — a review of your books and your stack. Work the checklist on your own numbers: mark each one cleared, flagged, or not sure. Not sure counts as a squawk — that is what the review is for.
Pre-Flight Checklist
0 of 8 checked-
My bank and card feeds are connected — and reconciled through last month.
-
Undeposited funds sit at zero.
Payments you have deposited but never cleared out of QuickBooks are money in your pocket that your books think is still coming.
-
My chart of accounts matches how my business actually makes money.
-
Payroll runs through Gusto or Paychex — and posts to the books correctly.
-
Receipts and bills land in one place (Hubdoc) — not a shoebox or an inbox.
-
I look at who owes me money — my A/R aging — every month.
-
My books close on a schedule — the same time, every month.
-
Every month I read two reports: profit & loss, and cash flow.
Flight Readiness
Work the checklist — your readiness reads here.
Squawk list
No squawks yet. Flag a check and it lands here — with the fix, in plain language.
This check took two minutes. The full review is the real thing — your whole stack, and the findings in writing.
Book My 30 Minutes with StephanieYour answers stay on this page — nothing is stored or sent. The check reads the readiness of your books and your stack; it makes no tax or legal determinations and promises no outcomes.
Starting costs you one meeting — not a leap of faith.
Every engagement, at every level, begins the same way: we look before anyone signs anything.
We review your stack
Your QuickBooks or Xero file, top to bottom — feeds, settings, chart of accounts, and every app connected to it — checked for efficiency and effectiveness.
You get the findings
A written report and a meeting: what we found, and what we would fix, in plain language — before you commit to anything.
You pick your altitude

She's sat in the owner's seat.
I'm Stephanie Elia. I started my first business at eighteen — and went on to build a pest control company past $1.5 million in revenue before selling it. I know what it costs to make payroll, chase invoices, and price a job off numbers you're not sure you trust, because I've done all three from your side of the desk.
In 2014, Elia Business Services — EBS — became my one and only business. Every client since has had an operator's eye on their books, not a clerk's: someone who reads a profit & loss the way an owner reads it.
The credentials came alongside: a Babson MBA with a focus in finance, a marketing degree from the University of South Carolina, and a bookkeeper's wall of certifications — Certified Bookkeeping Professional, QuickBooks Advanced across Online, Desktop, Enterprise, and Payroll.
My father flew for the U.S. Air Force. In our family, you check everything twice — then you fly. It's why everything here runs on a checklist.
And I never stop learning — it's the house rule, for me and for the whole crew.
A small crew that knows your file.
Six people, one office in North Easton, and a house rule we call Project Excellence: each of us owns a specialty, becomes the team's go-to for it, and teaches it back. There's always someone here who knows your corner of the books cold.
Tap a specialty — here's what the crew covers:
Pick a topic — you'll see how the crew works it.
We believe in balance sheets and belly rubs.
